A study was conducted on 2160 respondent buffaloes in three districts of Western Uttar Pradesh, India, during 2003–04 to study the various reproductive problems and managemental practices following locally available indigenous resources. The observations were pooled on the basis of season, parity, farmer's categories, district and block location. It was observed that highest numbers of buffaloes were found in anestrous condition as 54.38 per cent in summer season, 69.01 per cent helfers and 54.60 per cent buffaloes belonging to landless farmers and were found highly significant statistically.
