Abstract

In present study an attempt has been made to evaluate the effect of Polyfeed on leaf and fruit nutrient compositions of litchi fruits cv. Rose Scented at Horticultural Research Centre of G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar (Uttarakhand). Fourteen-year-old fruit bearing litchi trees were sparyed with Polyfeed (2%) at three different intervals after fruit setting to evaluate its effect on leaf and fruit nutrient compositions at harvesting. The result indicated that Polyfeed sprays significantly increased leaf nutrient concentrations of all the nutrients studied except Mn. Maximum concentrations of all the nutrients were found in the treatment T7 which had received three sprays of 2% Polyfeed during the period of fruit growth and development. Except, P and K all the nutrients under investigation were found higher in seed followed by pulp and peel. The maximum concentrations of all the nutrients were found in T7 and significantly higher than control (T0).
