Field experiment was carried out at Horticultural Research Centre, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Modipuram, Meerut during the rati season 2005–06 and 2006–07 to find out the response of growth regulators application. The maximum plant height, diameter of stem, number of leaves/plant, length of leaf and width of leaf were recorded under the treatments of 600 pm Cycocel, 60 ppm NAA and 60 ppm Ethrel over control. Application of Cycocel with 600 ppm at 50 and 80 days after sowing showed slight reduction in plant height and length of leaf. The above dose of growth regulators have significantly improved yield attributing characters like weight of bulb (g), size of bulb (cm) and yield of bulb (q/ha). The maximum yield of bulb was recorded with 600 ppm Cycocel, 60 ppm NAA and 60 ppm Ethrel while, the minimum noted under control.
