The present investigation was carried out on mung bean (Vigna radiata L. Wilazek) to asses the amount of genetic variability induced by 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 KR doses of gamma-rays in M2 generation. The characters, viz, number of pods per plant, no. of seed per pods, 100 seeds weight and yield per plant were studied. The analysis was made treatment wise for each character. Medium doses of gamma rays (30KR, 20KR) under dry treatment and higher does (40KR, 50KR) under soaked, treatment were found more effective to induced genetic variability for grain yield and its attributing characters.
