The present experiment was carried out with different pre-sowing seed treatments during the years of 2005–06 at in R.B.D. with three replication at Agricultural Research Farm of Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, U.P. during the rabi Season of the year 2005–06. On the basis of the results obtained, it can easily be concluded that for obtaining early and higher germination percentage of teak seeds, teak seeds should be treated with pit method (Placing the seeds in a pit in alternate layers of seeds and straw for 7 days and watered daily) for the commercial purposes.
