Result of two field study (2000–2001 and 2001–2002) cunducted at the Research farm of Brahmanand P.G. College, Rath, Hamirput (U.P.) showed that cultivar RD 2552 gave the maximum yield, NPK uptake and net profit. The crop sown on November 7, resulted higher grain yield (39.4 q/ha), corrlent and uptake of NPK and net return (Rs 15374/ha). Application of 90 Kg N/ha brought about significantly the highest grain and straw yields as compared to other levels. In addition, the N, P as well as K uptake both by grain and straw, yield attributes and net return were also noticed mare.
