Thirty diverse genotypes of long melon (cucumis melo var. utilissimus) were studies during zaid 2002. All the replications were sown in 3 rows each of 5 meter long. Space as 1 meter between row-to-row 60 cm between plant to plant in three replications at department of vegetable science Kalyanpur Kanpur. The observation were recorded on five randomly selected· plant for middle row for nine quantative traits viz. days to flower length of vine, number of primary branches, number of nodes per vine, length of inter node, length of fruit, width of fruit, number of fruits per plant and yield per plant the various plant parameters to assess their genetic divergence using D2- statistics genotypes were grouped into five clusters. The inter cluster distance was greatest observed between I and II cluster followed by I and IV, suggesting wide diversity between these groups. The maximum divergence was provided node at which first female flower opened while minimum diverence was provided by total yield per plant.
