Abstract

An unsteady state analytical solution has been developed using integral transform techniques for well hydraulics of a recharging partially penetrating well under ponded conditions. A reasonable data have been assumed to show the applicability of the developed solution. Analysis of the hydraulic head distribution of the aquifer with change in ponding heads has been performed after selecting the suitable placement of the screen with in the aquifer. Developed solution has been validated with the Hantush's standard solution.
