How farm women opined regarding their empowerment through SHG's in Rajasthan

The year 2001 has been declared as a "Women Empowerment Year" by U.N.O. Women are the vital human infrastructure and their Empowerment, economic, educational, social as well as political would hasten the pace of social development. In this direction self help groups approach brought a revolution in the life of women all over the world and their concept of savings has improved the economic condition of women. Keeping all these views in mind, it was thought proper to undertake a research study to see the opinion of beneficiary tribal farm women towards SHG's programmes. Significant correlation was observed between the ranks assigned by literates and illiterates tribal farm women to ditTerent aspects of opinion of SHG's programmes.
