An experiment was carried out at Horticulture Research Centre, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Modipuram, Meerut during August - November, 2020. The experimental materials comprised of sixteen treatments were planted in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications to observe the effect of pinching on growth and yield of chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium) cv. Snowball. Results showed the significant variation among all characteristics. Result also revealed that among the treatments, the highest plant height (54.31 cm) at 120 DAT was observed from Ti No pinching (control). The highest number of branches per plant (7.81 plant−1) at 90 DAT recorded under T2 treatment. The highest number of leaves per plant (95.01plant-1) at 90 DAT showed by treatment T2, the highest leaf area (58.78cm2) at 120 DAT showed by treatment T2, the highest number of flowers per plant (76.48 plant−1) recorded under the treatment T2. The highest flower yield per plant (272.59g) was obtained under the treatment T2. The highest flower yield per plot (9.88 kg) was obtained under the treatment T2. The highest flower yield per hectare (36.58 t ha−1) had been registered with the treatment T2.
