Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) the world's largest grown vegetable crop after potato is alsoknown as protective food due to its important nutrient constituents. The demand for tomatoes isincreasing for processing and consumption due to its nutritive qualities. Its production is affected bymany diseases and stresses abiotic stresses hence, the genotypes available are screened morphologicallyfor genetic diversity assessment among the cultivars. In present study, most genotypes exhibited idealsemi-determinate plant growth type, whereas commercial released cultivars shown determinate growthhabit. The cherry type fruit bearing genotypes were indeterminant. The results indicated that some ofthe genotypes have several specific traits in order to utilize further improvements. This characterizationof genotypes recognizes their use as parents in further crop improvement programmes.
