A field experiment was carried out to study the effect of plant growth regulators on growth and yieldperformance of onion (Allium cepa L) cv. Pusa Red. The field experiment was conducted at Horticultural Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, Chaudhary Charn Singh University Campus, Meerut (U.P) India, during the year 2017–18. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with ninetreatments and three replications. Based on the experimental study, it is clearly indicated that foliarapplication of gibberellic acid (GA3) and naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) have pronounced effect on oniongrowth and yield attributing characters. The maximum plant height (53.13 cm), leaf length (51.13 cm), number of leaves per plant (4.66), bulb diameter (7.82 cm), bulb weight (46.76 g) and yield (303.74 q/ha)was recorded with the foliar application of GA3 @ 150 ppm. However, maximum collar length (4.56 cm)had recorded under NAA @ 150 ppm.
