Impact of integrated nutrient management on fruit quality and leaves nutritional status of lemon (Citrus limon burm) cv. pant lemon-1 in sandy loam soil under western Uttar Pradesh conditions

Abstract

The present orchard experimental trail was carried out to find out the impact of integrated nutrient management on fruit quality and leaf nutrient status of lemon cv. Pant Lemon-1 in sandy loam soil under Western Uttar Pradesh conditions at Horticultural Research Centre of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut during summer season of 2011–12 and 2012–13. The maximum TSS (5.794 & 5.928), acidity (5.828 & 5.900%) and ascorbic acid (52.06 & 52.44%) were recorded under the treatment consisting of 75% NPK (315g N+ 210g P+315g K) + 10 kg NC + 200g PSB + 200g Azotobacter during the both years of investigation, respectively. This treatment also recorded superiority in leaves nutrient status like nitrogen content in leaves (3.415 & 3.527%), phosphorus content in leaves (0.245 & 0.251%) and potassium content in leaves (2.105 & 2.141%) during the both years of investigation, respectively. High ascorbic acid and acidity recorded in autumn flush as compared to spring flush while less TSS observed in autumn flush as compared to spring flush.
