The study of therapeutic herbs is becoming popular in defining their usefulness and their mode of conservation. In recent years, work on herbs worldwide with therapeutic value has increased. From the past, India is one of the countries, rich in traditional knowledge and has contributed a major share of the world's ethanobotanical work. The main objective of this study was to explore the herbs with therapeutic value in Western parts of Uttar Pradesh through regular field visits. A field survey was conducted from May-2017 to November-2018, The information on the therapeutic value was obtained through field visit, interviews and questionnaire. Their vernacular name and uses were recorded by interviewing the local's people, Vaidhya and Hakims. During the present study 37 species were recorded. This study revealed that Human communities have a great faith in the use of herbs in their Primary health care. It is necessary to protect the traditional knowledge of herbs, for their continues uses and for the discovery of new drugs.
