This study was conducted in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh to know the constrains of members and non members of milk producing cooperative societies. It was observed that there serious scarcity of green fodder through out the year. This fact was reported by both categories members and non members, availability of feed and fodder in study area at higher cost. Non availability of veterinary services were expressed by all categories respondents i.e. members and non members and medicine available at higher costs, mortality through disease was also causing economic losses, in live stock production most of the members and not members reported lack of marketing facilities in the villages, lack of finance for purchase of milch animal and good quality of feeding.
