Tomato ranks first in the world and grown in both temperate and tropical regions of the world which accounts about 14% of world vegetable production. Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum L.) belongs to family Solanaceae and significant vegetable crop of special economic importance. It is also an acknowledged model plant species for research to study the fruit development and metabolite accumulation. The tomato germplasm at morphological, 47 tomato genotype were collected for the present work. Characterization of genotypes for identification and varietal purity testing has attained much importance in crop improvement. The genotype NDT2 and ArkaSaurabh are found to be good on the basis of morphological characters studied such as root length, shoot length, number of branches per plant, number of flower cluster per plant, number flower in one cluster and number of fruit per plant.
