Knowledge gap in transfer of wheat production technology central Uttar Pradesh

The study was carried out during the year 2015–2016 in Rasoolabad and Rajpur block from Kanpur Dehat, Mohanlalganj and Chinhat block from Lucknow district of Uttar Pradesh. It was observed that Majority of the respondents (60.62%) possess good knowledge of various aspects of wheat production technology. Study further revealed that the respondents (50.00%) as a wheat growers are fully aware about the pest control. In case of adoption of pest control measures reflected that only 35.00 percent respondents are adopted pest control measures with highest knowledge gap (26.24%) followed by disease control (22.02%)
