Role of abiotic factors on the population dynamics of pigeonpea pod fly, Melanagromyza Obtusa Malloch

Abstract

During 2012–13 & 2013–14, maggot population showed negative correlation and pupal population showed positive correlation with minimum temperature & maximum temperature in both the varieties (Bahar & NDA-1). Whereas, relative humidity shows positive correlation with maggot population and negative correlation with pupal population. Rainfall showed negative correlation with maggot and pupal population in both the varieties.
