Significant differences were found among the genotypes for all the morphological quantitative traits under study. Number of flower per plant, peduncle length of terminal flower, length of outer ray florets and flower diameter showed highest phenotypic and genotypic coefficient of variation. The GCV and PCV values for most of the characters were found to be distant to each-other, indicated that these characters are influenced by environmental factor. The heritability estimates in broad sense were high for number of flowers per plant, flower diameter, peduncle length of terminal flower and length of outer ray floret. Genetic advance as percent of mean were also high for number of flowers per plant, peduncle length of terminal flower, length of outer ray florets and flower diameter. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance for these traits indicating that characters are governed by additive genes and could be effectively improved through selection.
