The field evaluation of two entomopathogenic fungi Beauveria bassiana @ 5 kg/ha. @ 2.5 kg/ha. and Metarhizium anisopliae @ 5 kg/ha, @ 2.5kg/ha. and one chemical insecticide chlorpyriphos @ 3.5 l/ha., @ 2.5 l/ha. were evaluated against Kharif Grass Hopper (Hieroglyphus banian), Yellow Stem Borer (Scripophaga incertulas) and Rice Hispa Beetle (Dicladispa armigera) during Kharif season of 2011 at farmers field Meza Road, Allahabad. All the insecticide were found effective in supperesing pest population and consequently increase yield (30.45–46.57q/h.). Among these treatments, Beauveria bassiana @ 5 kg/ha. was found most effective against Kharif Grasshopper (0.19 insect/hill), Yellow Stem Borer (6.89% hill damage hill) Rice Gundhi Bug (0.59 insect/hill), and Rice Hispa Beetle (0.93 insect/hill) followed by Beauveria bassiana @ 2.5 kg/ha in comparison to untreated control Kharif Grasshopper (1.25 insect/hill), Yellow Stem Borer (8.87% hill damage) Rice Gundhi Bug (1.75 insect/hill), and Rice Hispa Beetle (2.87 insect/hill)
