A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Station, Perumallapalle of Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University, to study the “Quality parameters of sugarcane seed cae as affected by varied spacings ad nutrient levels”. The spacings adopted were 40 cm (S1), 60 cm (S2) and 80 cm (S3) and the nutrient levels were 120-75-75 (N1), 160-100-100 (N2), 200-125-125 (N3) and 240-150-150 kg N-P2O5-K2O ha−1 (N4) respectively. Varied spacings and nutrient management practices as well as their interaction significantly influenced the yield, nutrient uptake, quality parameters and germination of sugarcane seed cane crop. The row spacing of 40 cm resulted in higher cane yield, where as among nutrient management practices application of 200-125-125 kg N-P2O5-K2O ha−1 recorded higher cane yields. The interaction effect of 40 cm in combination with 240-150-150 resulted in higher plant height and dry matter production, where as highest plant population and seed cane yield was recorded with 40 cm in combination with 200-125-125 kg N-P2O5-K2O ha−1.
