Abstract

Corn leaf Aphid (Rhopalosiphum maidis) is a common insect problem of barley crop in India. Four barley genotypes, two tolerant (EB-921 and BCU-390) and two susceptible (Alfa-93 and IWFBCB-94) and F2 bulks of two crosses, B-921 X Alfa-93 and BCU-390 X Alfa-93 were analyzed using Seventy-five RAPD primers during bulk segregant analysis for CLA resistance studies. RAPD primer OPAC-01 was identified as closely linked marker for CLA resistance in barley. This marker will be useful for markerassisted studies for CLA resistance breeding program barley in Indian conditions.
