Improvement in skills of trained trainees through K.V.K. training programmes

The present study was conducted during year 2007–08 in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh. To know the improvement in skills of trained trainees with respect to animal husbandry & dairying, bee keeping, papaya production and popular plantation & management practices. It was observed that the majority of trained trainees (63.33 per cent) were found to unskilled about the selection of improved breeds of animals, 70.83 percent fully skilled in scientific feeding and 41.67 per cent in protection from disease. In case of bee keeping the majority of trained trainees were unskilled in protection from disease, selection of improved species of bee, honey production and feeding (83.33, 82.50, 81.67 and 80.00 per cent) respectively. In case of papaya production the majority of trained trainees (90.00 per cent) were found unskilled and in popular plantation & management practices (50.80 per cent) trained trainees were unskilled. The parameter of a, b and c in table -1, parameter a, b, c and d in table -2, and parameter of a and b in table-3 revealed that the calculated chi-squire values (48.80, 79.50, 6.20, 130.95, 118.40, 126.60, 135.20, 173.65 and 18.65) were more than the table value (5.991) at 2 degree of freedom and at 5% level of significance which were significant. The investigatorsrefers to provide skill training and demonstrations to the trainees for human resource development.
