A field experiment was conducted during 2001 and 2002 at AAI Deemed University Allahabad to study the effect of integrated nutrient management on the growth, productivity and economics of Black gram (Vigna mungo L.). The experiments during both the years consisted of 10 treatments, viz. T1- control, T2- 75% RDF+25% FYM, T3-50% RDF+50% FYM, T4-25% RDF+75% FYM, T5- 75% RDF+25% Com, T6- 50% RDF+50% Com, T7-25% RDF+75%Com, T8-75% RDF+25% PM, T9-50% RDF+50%PM, T1025% RDF+75% PM. Incorporation of fertilizers with manure increased grain yield of Black gram. The higher grain yield (9.06 and 9.21 q/ha in 2001 and 2002 were respectively) along with lowest disease incidence (2.21 and 1.5% in 2001 and 2002 were respectively) was recorded in the treatment that received 25% RDF +75% poultry manure (T10). However, it was at par with the yield obtained in treatment fertilized with 100% RDF (T1).
