A study was made on monitoring and forewarning of Helicoverpa armigera, Leucinodes orbonalis, Scirpophaga incertulas and Spodoptera litura at CRC and HRC, S.V.P. Uni. of Agric. & Tech., Meerut. The maximum population of H. armigera (85 moth/trap/week) was recorded in 19th SW (2nd week of May 2006), L. orboinalis (19.33 moth/trap/week) in 45th SW (1st week of November 2005) and next successive higher population 16.0 moth/trap/week (3rd week of May 2006) was recorded in present experimental observation and no moth catches was recorded in severe cold months. S. Incertulas (8.0 moth/trap/week) In 36th SW (2nd week of September 2006) and the population of this pest was active from 32nd SW to 47th SW. 5. litura (765.33 moth/trap/week) was recorded in 19th SW (2nd week of May 2006), this Insect pest was observed throughout the year. In present investigation it's also observed that the weather factors play an important role in the population build up of the different insect pests. Moth catches of H. armigera population showed significant positive correlation with maximum temperature, while significantly negative correlation with RH. The moth catches of L. orbonalis revealed ignificant positive association with maximum and minimum temperature. In case of S. incertulas, moth catches showed non-significant correlation with weather factors. The population of S. litura revealed a significantly positive correlation with maximum temperature but RH showed significant negative correlation.
