Abstract

A field experiment was conducted on African marigold with different levels of fertilizers doses i.e. 0g, 11g, 22g of nitrogen, 0g, 10g 20g of phosphorus and 0g, 4g, 8g of potassium/m2 at the field of Horticulture Department, C.C.R. (P.G.) College, Muzaffarnagar (U.P.) during the winter season in 2005-2006. Most of the growth and flowering characters were found to be increased at higher level of N, P and K. By observing the data it can be suggested that 150 kg/ha nitrogen, 100 kg/ha phosphorus and 80 kg/ha potassium were found suitable doses for the commercial cultivation of African marigold western plain zone of U.P.
