Abstract

Moringa oleifera, often referred to as the ‘Miracle Tree’ or ‘Drumstick Tree’, has garnered significant attention for its remarkable nutritional, medicinal, and environmental benefits. This review synthesizes and evaluates a wide array of studies on Moringa, with a focus on its role in addressing global health challenges, promoting environmental sustainability, and enhancing nutrition. Rich in essential vitamins, minerals, and bioactive compounds, M. oleifera offers a range of health-promoting properties, including antioxidant, anticancer, antidiabetic, and anti-inflammatory effects. The plant’s diverse applications, such as its use in water purification, food fortification, and as a growth regulator in tissue culture, highlight its potential to support both human health and sustainable agricultural practices. Moringa also shows promise as a solution to combat malnutrition, particularly in developing regions, while contributing to eco-friendly farming methods. Despite its growing recognition, continued research is essential to optimize cultivation practices and further expand its potential benefits for global health and industry.
