An experiment was conducted during the rabi season of 2017–18 and 2018–19 at CCSHAU, Hisar. The experiment was conducted in randomized block design with two sowing conditions late sown (second week of December) and very late sown (first week of January) using thirty wheat varieties. Sowing condition of wheat affected the wheat phenology, agro meteorological indices and yield. Wheat varieties grown under late sown condition had more days to heading, maturity and agro-meteorological indices like Growing Degree Days (GDD), Helio thermal units (HTU), Photo thermal units (PTU), Maximum sunshine experienced (N) and Photosynthesis active radiation (PAR) than grown under very late sown condition. Significant differences of genotype, environment and interaction between genotype and environment were found for productive tillers, biomass, 1000 grain weight, grain number/spike and grain weight/spike indicating the phenology and yield effects in relation to different meteorological indices.
