Thirty rice bean genotypes along with four checks (RBL 1, RBL 6, RBL 35 and RBL 50) were screened for various insect pests for two consecutive years (2015 and 2016). A total of six, ten and twelve genotypes, respectively had lower incidence of bean flower thrips, whitefly and green jassid than best checks. Eight and seventeen genotypes had less Maruca webs and larval incidence than best check RbL 35. thirteen genotypes recorded pod damage ranging from 25.4 to 27.0 per cent which was superior to best check RBL 1 (35.0%). Eight of the lines were higher yielding than the best check RbL 35. genotypes bRb 15-2, bRb 4, bRb 31, bRb 47, LRb 589, LRb 584 and bRb 26 were high yielding as well as had low incidence of two or more insect pests. eight genotypes had lower avoidable yield losses besides being promising against various insect pests.
