Effect of propagation time and methods on the success rate in mango cv. Amrapali was studied through a research trial conducted in the nursery site of department of horticulture, Khalsa college, Amritsar during the year 20182019.the experiment was laid out following three propagation methods at 12 time intervals in factorial arrangement using Randomized block design with three replications. the results of the study revealed that both the main and the interaction effects of grafting time with grafting technique had a significant influence on days to bud sprout, scion diameter, scion length, number of leaves per graft and graft success of mango. The minimum required days (9.20) for bud break were observed when mango was grafted with cleft grafting method during 15^thAugust grafting time. The maximum success rate of grafting (84.2%) was obtained from treatment combination of 15^thAugust with cleft grafting method. therefore, propagation of mango using cleft grafting method during the month of August can be practiced for the study area and areas with similar agro-ecological conditions to increase the success rate of mango.
