A comparative study of subjective well-being of rural and urban infertile women

This study is an attempt to understand the difference in the subjective well-being of rural and urban infertile women of Ludhiana district. It explored the difference in subjective well being as per the socio-economic strata of the infertile women. The study was based on a sample of 180 respondents (90 rural and 90 urban). Subjective wellbeing was assessed by using Subjective Well-being Inventory and socio-economic strata was assessed by using the Socio-Economic Scale. The results clearly demonstrated that there was a significant difference in the subjective well-being of rural and urban infertile women. Significant association was observed in the subjective well-being of the respondents as per their socio-economic strata.
