Adolescent girls in the age group of 13–15 years, belonging to high socio economic group were selected from four public schools in four zones of Ludhiana city. The objective was to assess the nutritional profile and educational performance. Dietary intake was recorded by 24 hr recall-cum-weighment method for three consecutive days. Information regarding background and educational performance was collected using pretested interview schedule. Anthropometric parameters and haemoglobin concentration using standard methods and physical activity by diary method were recorded. Results revealed that intake of all nutrients was more than Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) except for energy and iron. All the anthropometric parameters i.e. weight, height, mid upper arm circumference (MUAC) and triceps skin fold thickness (TSF) were more than Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) values and comparable to National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) standards. Only 18 per cent had normal haemoglobin level. Positive and significant correlation was observed among anthropometric parameters; anthropometry and nutrients; haemoglobin concentration with iron and protein; percentage of marks obtained and time spent on study.
