Abstract

Investigations on yield and quality parametres were carried out at Seed Farm, Ladhowal of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana on nineteen-year-old trees of ber cv. ‘Umran’. The four chemicals viz., potassium sulphate, potassium nitrate, paclobutrazol and naphthalene acetic acid were sprayed at fruit set stage and at active growth phase. The spray at active growth phase was found better than the spray at fruit set stage. The highest yield was recorded with the application of 60 ppm NAA. However, the palatability rating and quality of fruits was superior with the application of 100 ppm paclobutrazol.
