Field experiments were conducted at the experimental farm of the Punjab Agricultural University from 2003 to 2005 to find out the residual effects of sulfosulfuron applied to wheat at 25 g (recommended) and 50 g ha−1 on the following crops of american cotton, desi cotton, maize, moong and soybean. Results of three years indicated that american cotton, desi cotton, soybean and moong can be raised successfully after the application of sulfosulfuron to wheat at the recommended or even double the recommended dose. However, maize was found sensitive to residues of sulfosulfuron, which was indicated by significant reduction in grain yield of maize as compared to untreated plots.
