Study on problems faced during use of bio-gas plants by the rural homemakers of Bathinda district

Abstract

Present study was taken up on randomly selected 90 respondents (60 users who were continuously using the biogas plant and 30 respondents were those who discontinued the use of biogas plant) from two purposively selected blocks of Bathinda district. Data were collected through specially structured interview schedule. The results of the study revealed that main operational problem faced by the respondents was non-possibility of the use of diversified feed in the same digester, whereas leakage of water was reported as main technical problem and subsidies which were not easily available as constructional problem.
