Abstract

Field experiments were conducted at Punjab Agricultural University farm, Ludhiana for six years to study fertilizer Nitrogen and Phosphorus responses to guinea grass with and without FYM. The results showed that crop responded significantly to applied N both without and with applied FYM @ 151 ha−1 up to 160 kg N ha−1 for improving green fodder yield and its protein content. Application of P @ 8.7 kg ha−1 improved both green fodder yield and quality of the fodder. N and P concentration in dry matter also improved with graded levels of both N, and P.
