This study examines the level of agricultural development of Punjab State at two points of time spaced eighteen years apart, i.e. 1981–82 and 1999–2000. Standard score technique has been applied for measuring the relative score of various attributes of agricultural development in the different districts of Punjab. It is suggested that the inequalities do exist among the districts in the development of agriculture. The districts which were leading earlier are still ahead of others and those which were lagging behind are still at the tailend. The districts which have high level of agricultural development, do not need any special effort. In the districts which have medium level agriculture, the present plan strategies need to be slightly modified. The districts which have low level of agricultural development, need attention on a priority basis so that its level of agricultural development is raised.
