Development of Technology Kit for Nutrient Enrichment of Cereals and Pulses

Dissemination of information is as important as generating it. in the present technological era, the transfer of technological information is based on the media mix approaches. The investigation was designed to develop a technology kit on nutrient enhancement of cereals and pulses for educating rural adolescents and workers. Three nutrient enhancement techniques were identified i.e. (i) sprouting, (ii) fermentation and (iii) combinations of cereals and pulses. A modularized booklet, a set of still photographs, a set of synchronized-slide- tape sequences on the identified techniques were developed for the technology kit. The effectiveness of the developed instructional material was adjudged through the use of different rating scales. The effectiveness tests revealed that all the developed material were highly effective for imparting nutrition education.
