The study was conducted on 150 women respondents of Ludhiana district working under Shree Mahila Gran Udyog Lijjat Papad (SMGULP). The findings revealed that the women respondents working with SMGULP augmented their family income through their own earned income. Almost all the respondents utilized their earned income on the purchase of food items, fuel and lighting related items which were needed daily. The income earned by the respondents was related to their educational status and the work experience with SMGULP. The respondents perceived certain positive changes in themselves and their families due to their employment with SMGULP.
