Abstract

An investigation was conducted in order to observethe effect of chemicals, viz. Kl, KNO3, urea and (NH4)2SO4 on defloration, defoliation and leaf emergence on Sardar guava in rainy season crop. Maximum defloration and defoliation in the rainy season crop was caused by Kl (0.5%) followed by urea sprays. The days taken for the emergence of leaves were the highest (25 days) in the trees treated with KNO2 4 per cent, with the minimum of 21 days taken by trees sprayed with both the level of urea.
