The survey on 150 dairy farms scattered over five different regions (Malwa, Doaba, Majha, Bet and Kandi) of punjab state was conducted to find relation of various management practices with different reproductive disorders. Supplementation of mineral mixture to the rations was adopted by 26.67 percent farmers whereas deworming of animals was done only by 10.67 per cent farmers. Hygienic housing, bathing or wallowing colostrum and paddy straw feeding was adopted by 27.33, 24.67, 41.33 and 37.33 per cent of farmers, respectively. Out of 846 adult buffaloes and 526 cows (including adult heifers) 212 (25.06%) buffaloes and 136 (25.85%) cows were giving mineral mixture supplementation, 91 (10.76%) buffaloes and 56 (10.64%) cows were dewormed and 79 (9.34%) buffaloes and 51 (9.69%) cows were given mineral mixture + deworming + hygienic housing and bathing or wallowing. All the managemental practices are helpful in optimizing the reproduction.
