Abstract

The present study was undertaken to explore the constraints in the use of improved home management practices. A sample of 300 rural families from three districts viz. Amritsar, Faridkot and Jalandhar were selected with the help of multistage random sampling technique. The results of the study indicated that the important constraint in the use of improved home management practices was lack of knowledge among the home makers regarding the various improved practices. Lack of interest on the part of homemakers was the other important constraint, because they were not fully enlightened about the contributions made by the adoption of these improved practices in saving their time and energy.
