This article focuses on what role women play in placing the Internet connected computer within their home in Bangladesh. Through the lens of objectification, this study is carried out. In-depth interviews are conducted among forty one participants. Although, in some cases both husband and wife jointly make the decision regarding the placement of the Internet, mostly there exists gender discrimination. Also, class defines the placement. According to the respondents, bedroom is the place where they situate the Internet. This study helps to understand how new technology like the Internet is accepted and placed within the context of home in a developing country.
