The study was carried out to evaluate the effect of dietary supplementation of boric acid on the performance, carcass traits and economics of Japanese quail fed boric acid supplemented diets at various levels (0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 ppm). A total of 150 day-old Japanese quail chicks were individually weighed and allotted randomly into five treatment groups with three replicates containing ten birds each. Results indicated that boric acid dietary supplementation had no significant (p>0.05) influence on the growth performance like body weight, body weight gain, feed intake and feed efficiency and carcass traits like carcass weight, dressing percentage, heart, liver and gizzard weights of Japanese quail. The production cost per kg live gain was less in 60 ppm boric acid supplemented group. Based on the results, it could be concluded that the boric acid supplementation up to 60 ppm level in the ration had no significant value on the performance and carcass traits of Japanese quail.
