A study was conducted to evaluate various carcass characteristics of ten birds at 16 weeks of age reared under backyard system. The average live weight, bled weight, dressed weight, eviscerated weight, edible weight, neck weight, back weight, wing weight, breast weight, drumstic weight, thigh weight, blood weight, feather weight, head weight, shank weight and giblet weight were recorded as 2011.0±53.9 1903.4±53.3g, 1586.7±31.9 g, 1199.4±28.9 g, 1288.4±26.9 g, 49390±1.93 g, 187.80±4.82 g, 104.4±2.79 g, 304.0±7.09 g, 176.40±3.15 g, 190.2±4.68 g, 109.7±3.11 g, 127.9±5.33 g, 54.2±1.53 g, 76.50±2.22 and 89.70±2.86 g, respectively. The corresponding percentage values were 94.65, 78.90, 59.64, 64.09, 2.48, 9.34, 5.19, 15.12, 8.77, 9.46, 5.45, 6.36, 2.70, 3.80 and 4.46% of their live weight, respectively.
