Abstract

An outer membrane proteins vaccine of P. multocida A: 1 was used in layer chickens and biochemical parameters were studied after challenging the birds with local isolate of P. multocida. Serum ALT and AST values significantly increased in both vaccinated and unvaccinated groups. These values of ALT and AST peaked at 10 DPI in both the groups. Serum creatinine and urea values increased in both groups and peaked at 7 DPI. Increase in values was more in unvaccinated group than vaccinated group.
