Abstract

A total of 5538 progenies (eight hatches in S3 six hatches each in S4, S5 and S6) covering four generations were considered for the study. The heritability estimates for body weight, age at first egg and egg weight were moderate to high where as egg production as well as egg mass the estimates were low. The genetic correlations between EN64 and AFE, body weight and egg weight were negative, where as with egg mass it was positive. The genetic correlations among part periods were very high and positive. The phenotypic correlations between EN64 and AFE, body weights except at 20 weeks of age, egg weight were negative, where as positive estimates were found with body weight at 20 weeks of age and egg mass. The phenotypic correlations among production upto different age's part periods were very high and positive.
