The genotypic frequency of low potassium, medium potassium and high potassium type for cellular component in broilers were 0.152, 0.719 and 0.129, respectively. The gene frequency for low potassium alleles and high potassium alleles were 0.51 and 0.49, respectively in cellular component in broilers. It is also observed that the gene frequency for low and high potassium alleles were found to be approximately 0.5 which indicates the maximum heterozygosity of these alleles in the population being the commercial chicks. The day old body weights in low, medium and high potassium types were found to be 41.34±0.9, 42.63±0.38 and 42.64±1.02 g, respectively in cellular component in broilers, whereas, the 6th week body weights were found to be 1898.07±58.87, 1959.94±21.92 and 2122.72±53.22 g, respectively in cellular component of low, medium and high potassium types. The difference in 6-week body weights found to be non-significant due to potassium types.
