A study was conducted to assess the effect of different space density groups, viz. 0.20, 0.25 and 0.30 m2/bird on egg quality traits in White Leghorn strain. Under these floor space densities, the values for average egg weight (g) were 48.3±0.77, 51.3±0.77, and 51.4±0.77; albumin index 0.10±0.01, 0.12±0.31 and 0.17±0.34; yolk index 0.42±0.01, 0.47±0.01 and 0.47±0.01; shell thickness (mm) 0.49±0.01,0.39±0.01 and 0.38±0.01, shell weight (g) 6.2±0.14, 6.3±0.14 and 6.8±0.14; yolk weight (g) 16.6±0.38, 15.1±0.38 and 13.6±0.38; and albumin weight (g) 25.8±0.76, 30.9±0.76 and 30.9±0.76. The significant (P<0.01) differences were observed for the egg weight, albumin index, yolk index, yolk weight, shell thickness, shell weight and albumin weight. Whereas differences between space densities of 0.25 and 0.30 m2 were usually not significant.
