Four hundred fifrty three birds of five genetic groups viz., WC x WC, RC x RC, WPR x WPR, WC x WPR and RC x WPR obtained from 6 males and 42 females under each genetic group were studied for body weight trend at zero day and from 4th to 8th week of age. Both the crossbreds excelled over all the three purebreds. RC x WPR was superior to WC x WPR whereas among the purebreds WC was noted to rank first followed by RC and WPR. The highest percentage of heterosis was achieved at 4-weeks age among both the crossbreds.
